Event Type: Academic LibrariesDate: 5/31/2012 Start Time: 1:00 PM End Time: 5:00 PM Description: First things first: Let's think of podcasting as any audio recording you'd like to do. Want to create a monthly run-down of library news? Want to share the poetry reading held at your library? Want to create an audio tour of a collection or of an historic walk through town? There's room for all of those ideas and more under the term podcasting.

Let's say you have an idea for a recording you'd like to make. Where do you begin? It's tempting to grab a microphone and start recording, but you can create a more persuasive project by making a plan first. In this workshop we'll go through the entire process, from writing a pitch and a script to recording, editing, and exporting the finished podcast. This workshop is appropriate for first-time podcasters but will include approaches that practiced podcasters will find useful, too. Learning outcomes: More information coming soon. Location: SWON Libraries Seminar Room Registration Ends: 5/29/2012 at 12:00 AM Other Information: Registration is required for this event.
