Event Details

Children in Grades 4-6 will learn how to write original nature-inspired haiku in a fun hands-on workshop. Their instructor will be award-winning poet and Bryn Du Mansion Artist in Residence, Jennifer Hambrick. Each of the student participants will choose one of his or her original haiku to put onto a smooth rock to keep. Haiku rocks will be taken home to enjoy or to be placed in a location of the child’s choosing. For more information about Bryn Du’s Artist in Resident, please visit BrynDu.com. This workshop is limited to 20 children and is free.

Parents/guardians will be asked to sign a consent form to allow their child(ren) to appear in a film that the presenter will submit along with her application to the Ohio Arts Council for artistic instruction. It will not appear on the library website, in the newspaper, in social media, in library materials, any other promotional outlets.

Participants who do not consent to be filmed will sit at a table out of the field of view of the camera.
