Description:
 Join the Great Lakes Science Center for a series of hands-on STEAM+C activities at your library! These events are free and open to children and families on a first-come, first-served basis as space permits. No registration is required.

Monday, March 6: Catapult!
Build a working catapult from LegoŽ building bricks.

Tuesday, March 7: Coding Basics
Build robots and vehicles with LegoŽ bricks, then craft the code to make them move!

Wednesday, March 8: Marble Maze
Design and build a marble maze with LegoŽ bricks.

Thursday, March 9: Rubber Band Cars
Design and build a rubber band-powered car using LegoŽ bricks.

Monday, March 13: Mini Parachutes
Take the challenge to design and build a mini-parachute that will allow your cargo to float gently and land safely!

Tuesday, March 14: Coding with Scratch
Learn to code and create cool stuff with Scratch, a free program.

Wednesday, March 15: Bridge Building
Learn about engineering and how bridges are designed, then use what you learn to build bridges using toothpicks and marshmallows!

Thursday, March 16: Boat Launch
Design and craft boats using cardboard and duct tape then launch them on the water to test how well they float.

Monday, March 20: Glider Challenge
NASA Shoebox Glider Challenge: learn about flight dynamics, then design and build a glider out of a shoe box.

Tuesday, March 21: Soap Rockets
Design and build soap rockets with the help of a 3D printer

Wednesday, March 22: Rocket Launch!
Build your own stomp rocket and watch an Alka Seltzer rocket demo.
